A virtual roundtable discussion was jointly organized by The Daily Star in collaboration with Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (BELA), Bangladesh Lung Foundation, Center for Atmospheric Pollution Studies (CAPS) and Embassy of Sweden, titled “Role of Law in Combating Air Pollution and Protecting Public Interest". The objective of the event is to discuss the health impacts of air pollution, sources of air pollution and the control mechanisms, necessary institutional setup, and the role of law in addressing the overall problem. Dr. Asif Mujtaba Mahmud, Secretary General & Dr. Kazi Saifuddin Bennoor, Joint Secretary represented BLF in the event.
