Eligibility of Membership
a. Specialist respiratory physician and thoracic surgeon (post graduate degree/diploma holder recognized by BMDC)
b. Pediatrician, Internist or any other medical post graduate, having special interest in respiratory field.
Procedure of Provisional Membership Period
1. Applications must be in the prescribed form.
2. The prevailing annual subscription fee worth Tk. 500 (Non-refundable) shall have to be paid with the application form.
3. The Executive Committee shall inform the applicant regarding the approval/rejection of the application.
4. If any application is rejected, the aspirant may apply afresh, fulfilling the necessary prerequisites.
5. For a period of two years from the date of acceptance, the applicant will be considered as a provisional member. During this period of provisional membership, he/she will not have voting rights.
6. At the end of provisional tenure, EC will evaluate the member's activities and confirm him/her as a member.
7. Upon confirmation by the EC, the provisional member may continue as a General Member (by paying Tk. 500/- per year) or as a Life Member (by paying Tk. 10,000/-).
